
Mandatory Ethics Training Course All Classes other than Life Licensees and Adjuster Representative Licensees are required to complete a Council approved ethics course as described by the General Insurance Council Bylaws. If you have successfully completed one of the course(s) identified in the "Approved Ethics Course(s)" document below, please provide Council with documentation.
Mandatory Ethics Training Course (1) Effective
January 1, 2010 resident licensees must within the cycles set out below complete a
council approved ethics course that is at least three hours in duration:
(a) Resident
licensees who are licensed on or after January 1, 2010 must within three years of becoming
licensed complete an ethics course.
(b) Resident licensees who hold a licence
issued prior to January 1, 2010 must complete an ethics course by their annual reporting
date in 2013.
(c) Resident licensees that have completed the
course under (a) or (b) above must complete an ethics course within subsequent 5 year
cycles. (d) Credit hours earned for an ethics course can be applied towards a licensee's continuing education requirements.
