The General Insurance OmbudService is an independent organization, created in 2002, with the sole purpose of helping Canadian consumers resolve disputes or concerns with their home, auto or business insurers.

Life OmbudService
The mission of the OmbudService for Life & Health Insurance is to provide  the Canadian consumer with free, prompt and impartial assistance with your inquiries and complaints pertaining to your Canadian life and health insurance products and services, including life, disability, employee health benefits, travel, and insurance investment products such as annuities and segregated funds.


Your Financial Toolkit
Your Financial Toolkit has been designed to help Canadians manage their personal finances. Developed by the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC), Investor Education Fund (IEF) and l'Autorité des Marchés financiers (AMF), the Toolkit provides reliable, unbiased and easy-to-use information and tools that people can use to become more capable and confident financial consumers.
