How to apply for a licence
All Saskatchewan Insurance Licence applications will now be completed through our Online Application process in the Online Licensing Portal. Council will no longer be accepting paper application forms or payment for Licence Applications in the form of a cheque.
- Register for an account – once registration is complete you will receive an email with your username and a temporary password.
- Change your Password.
- Log into the Online Portal
- Left side – Click Apply for Licence
- Select the Licence type you are applying for.
- Complete the Application
- Review the Application
- Determine who will pay; applicant or recommender
- Email notice is sent to the recommender to review the application.
- Recommender reviews the application, if the application is approved it will go to ICS to review. If the Recommender does not approve you will receive notification that the application has been rejected.
- Log back into the licensing portal and make the required changes.
- Email notice is sent to the recommender to review the application.
- Recommender will review application, if approved it will go to ICS to review. If the Recommender does not approve you will receive notification that the application has been rejected.
- ICS reviews the application, if no issues the licence will be issued, if further information is required you will receive an email advising you further information is required.
- Email is sent out with the licence certificate and receipt to applicant.
If you already have an existing account or licence with the Insurance Councils of Saskatchewan, please do not create a new account. If you need help, contact ICS.
