All Saskatchewan Insurance Licence applications should be completed through our Online Application process in the Online Licensing Portal. Council will continue to accept paper application forms and payment for paper Licence Applications in the form of a cheque. The online application portal is the most effective way for our office to communicate further requirements for licence applications to applicants and their recommenders.
If you already have an existing account or licence with the Insurance Councils of Saskatchewan, please do not create a new account. If you need help, contact ICS.
You can check the status of your application at any time, by logging in to your Online Licensing Portal. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received and can vary based on volume.
We strive to meet a processing time of 15 business days from the date of receipt.
Please refrain from reaching out again unless the status update is still “Pending ICS Review” and it is beyond the 15 business days timeframe.
Other application statuses:
Pending Resubmission – application has been returned and action is required by you
Pending Recommender Approval – application is with your recommender for approval
Pending Payment – payment needs to be completed on the portal
Pending ICS Review – application is with ICS for review
A new Agency online applications must be completed as a combo application with an application for the Designated Representative. Both Licences must be recommended by the same insurer. Both applications will need to be reviewed and issued at the same time.
Complete either the Agency or Designated Representative application and then you will be prompted to log in and complete the corresponding application.
